Okay, today I learned the following:
a) I can not go all day without eating
b) Starving myself in order to consume copious amounts of food at the end of the day is NOT a good idea.
c) I must learn to eat more zero/low calorie food in order to keep my stamina going all day and then eat a sensible dinner
d) Working out at night means I have excess energy and can't wind down and go to sleep
e) Spending 4.25 hours with 3 crazy women will make you laugh so hard that you feel like you burned all those calories you consumed at dinner
I tried so hard today to eat light so I could go out to eat tonight at an off-the-grid restaurant where there is no way in hell, no matter how hard you try, that you can determine calories in the food you choose to consume. I ate like crap all day and by the time 5 pm rolled around I was on the verge of a migraine because I hadn't eaten right and was starving plus dinner was still at the least 90 minutes away. I wolfed down a yogurt and a few soy nuggets with tzatziki and a Diet Cherry Coke and felt a little better, enough to get dressed and head to dinner.
Dinner was awesome, it was authentic Italian and absolutely amazing. I had a great time, a few glasses of wine and some wonderful pasta. I can't even begin to think how many calories I consumed, but it was all well worth it. Problem is, I don't know how to even track those calories on MyFitnessPal, but I am just going to let it go!
I came home and did do a 20 minute fat burn on the treadmill for a total of 116 calories, so I feel a little bit better, but I am wide awake on my couch now watching Law & Order: SVU.
Today was also day two of taking a multi-vitamin, I swear these things were made for horses!
Overall - good day!
Tomorrow's goal: Start meal planning for future days so I can shop and plan better

At Walmart there is a brand of gummy vitamins for adults, they taste just fine and are a much better alternative to those damn pills, Vita somethingorother. I never took a multivitamin because of the size of the pills, once I found the gummies I haven't missed a day in months!
ReplyDeleteI love following along with your journey, we are only two days apart!
I'm glad to have participated in your indulgent evening!! My head was hurting at the end of the night after forgetting I actually had to pay attention to where I was driving and took the loooooong way home. What a fun night!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Sarah - I love gummy vitamins!! Target also has a generic brand that's cheap :)
ReplyDeleteAnd just remember, one indulgent day (or a Fat Day) every once in a while isn't bad!!! I tend to have one every two weeks. I don't go crazy on them, but I just don't stalk what I'm eating and I have a cupcake... or two.... and some other foods...
